Laser for Veins and Redness
Facial redness, broken capillaries, and spider veins are treated with either Nd:YAG or IPL, depending on the depth and size of the vessel.

Nd:YAG
Mechanism
The Nd:YAG laser (part of the M22 platform) emits a focused 1064nm wavelength that is absorbed by hemoglobin in the blood vessel. This heats and collapses the vessel wall, and the body naturally reabsorbs the treated vein over the following weeks. Because it penetrates more deeply than IPL, Nd:YAG is especially effective for larger or deeper vessels, including leg veins.
IPL
Mechanism
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses multiple wavelengths of broad-spectrum light to target hemoglobin near the skin’s surface. Once the vessel is safely heated, the body eliminates it naturally. IPL is well suited to smaller, more superficial vessels and diffuse redness, such as facial telangiectasia and mild rosacea, and can treat larger areas in a single pass.
